HF Financial Teams with Love INC
On a recent cool, crisp, sunny Saturday, more than two dozen members of HF Financial got together to give back to the community in Charlotte. They partnered with Love INC, a faith-based nonprofit organization that links people with unmet needs with church members willing to meet those needs. Members of HF Financial worked on four projects and on Saturday, November 6th, the teams dedicated their time, talent, and treasure.
The first group of employees collected money and bought items for Love Inc’s Baby Layette Program, as well as purchasing cribs, strollers and Pack n Plays. They then held a Baby Shower at Green Memorial Baptist Church, where the mothers came and received their gifts and met the donors. They had a wonderful time of sharing and Tim Flanagan, owner of HF Financial, presented each of the new mothers with a Bible to share with their family.
The next HF Financial team went grocery shopping and delivered food to 5 clients.
Ms. Jackie, is pictured above with some of our staff and friends. HF Financial dropped off bags of groceries for her and her family and were able to spend some time listening and sharing.
The next recipient of the day was Christian, a little boy who has Down Syndrome. His grandmother is his caregiver and says that Christian loves to run outside and play. She had asked for a fence so he would have a safe play area. This project was going to be too big for Love INC until HF stepped in and wanted to help. Thanks to the help of 8 volunteers giving up their Saturday; Christian now has a safe place to play outside.
Christian doesn't hesitate to jump in and help.

The final project for the day was building a ramp for Sarah. Sarah is in a wheelchair and it is very difficult for to leave her home and travel to doctor’s appointments. A team of volunteers from HF Financial joined Love Inc to finish a ramp that Sarah could use to go in and out of her home.
HF Financial agents overcame challenges and worked hard to finish the ramp for Sarah.
